- Centre Fuselage Assembly
Ribs
had all ready had all their edges smooth by Bernard next door, and
he had also sorted all the spacers and strengtheners as well.
However the ribs needed fluting and the ribs modifying so that
access can be made to the steering column.

Assembly of the seating area took longer than
expected as I needed to modify the seat belt anchors more than I
had originally so they fit alongside the rib without fouling the
rib. This was not bad though as I needed to take a look at
this and paint all the brackets that had been cut. I also cut the
half moon holes in the ribs that require the electrical runs.
Just drilled a series of pilot holes, nibbled away and then tidied
with a file. 4 half moon holes were needed to be done.
I also omitted the options of a battery in the rear, mine will be
on the firewall and the modifications for a step kit.

Finished adding all the rib and clecoed on the
bottom skin. Then I drilled all the holes I could at this
stage. Obviously you can see from the picture below the
missing rib which will be sent from Van's.
